Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of Emerald Buddha) - Bangkok

This place is about the ancient temple situated at Bangkok. It is known as Wat Phra Kaew (The Temple of Emerald Buddha).

One of the most significant features of Wat Phra Kaew is the Emerald Buddha, carved into a 66cm tall block of Jade. This is highly revered icon was discovered in 1464 in Chiang Rai when the Wat (temple) sheltering it was struck by lightning. It was taken to Laos before coming back to Chiang Mai and finally making a permanent home in Bangkok. Where you can admire it today!!

The climate of the Wat Phra Kaew place is always pleasant and you would itself feel peace in your mind. It feels like you have reached to heaven.

To visit this place the best time would be from October to January as the weather is pleasant.

There is a strict dress code policy need to adhere is No Short Pant, Skirts, Sleeveless Top & Shirts.

If you ever been to Bangkok, I would really suggest do visit this Temple.
